To further sustain our present team, we are currently seeking to recruit for the following positions:
Qualified Accountants & Auditors - ACCA or B.Accty (Hons)
The selected candidates will be given the opportunity to work in both our accountancy and audit units, although preference to work in one field will also be considered.
The accountancy aspect will involve accounting and financial control in view of the number of accountancy assignments, also on an international level. S/he will be responsible for supervising the accounting function of 3a clients, preparing management accounts, finalising annual accounts and preparing financial statements in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to be ready for the audit. This role may also involve assisting clients in the setup of their accounting function, book keeping and maintaining the system up-to-date.
The auditing facet incorporates the verification of financial statements for truth and fairness in line with the International Standards on Auditing. The role will also require the chosen individuals to make recommendations to clients for improvement and discuss the appropriate actions to be implemented. Other specific assignments in auditing, including internal audits and IT system audits could also be forthcoming.
The above roles will require qualified accountants with a good grasp of the Maltese VAT Actdirect and indirect taxation legislation, International Financial Reporting Standards and of basic auditing techniques in line with International Standards on Auditing Standards. Experience in a similar role and knowledge on of generally used accounting and audit software such as Proaudit, Sage Accounts Production and Sage Line 50 would be considered as positive features although not obligatory.
Candidates will have excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and Maltese, proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools and ambition and drive to learn and advance in their career.
