What is the typical cost of setting up a company in Malta?

As a minimum a company needs at least €250 as initiall share capital, as well as registration fees with MFSA of €245 which may increase according to the authorized share capital. Professional fees to set up a standard limited liability company would be in the region of €1500 and would include the registration with Inland Revenue, VAT Department, to act as employer (if required) as well as assisting in the opening up of a company bank account.
