What are the employer's rights when terminating employment and giving notice?

When the employer wishes to stop the employee from work immediately, then the employee has to be paid his daily wage for the duration of the notice period.

Instant dismissal by employers is only permitted for a just cause. Reasons held to be just are theft, physical assault on employer or other employees, gross insubordination and disregard for written warnings. In this case no notice period is to be given to the employee.
